Associate Member Roundtable

Intended to provide actionable feedback for Associate members (General members are welcome and encouraged to attend and participate!), this session will include a General Member panel discussion (with QandA), followed by topical roundtable conversations. During this session, Associate members will learn how to effectively and professionally network with construction financial decision-makers and build a well-respected brand within CFMA. You will have the opportunity to engage with CFMA’s General members regarding how they prefer to be approached by industry partners, and from fellow Associate members about techniques used to successfully network and thrive within the Association. Topics to be discussed include subject matter expertise (developing and sharing it), how to build effective relationships with General members, what do General members expect from Associates, and the ROI of CFMA for Associate members.

After attending this session, you will be able to: Learning Objectives:

• Understand how General Members prefer to be approached by, and interact with, Associate Members.
• Learn how to be considered a subject matter expert and resource to General Members.
• Recognize the value of long-term relationship building with General Members who are not your clients.
• Discover how General Members prioritize their vendor selection criteria – what matters most when they are engaging a new business partner?

This program is a Basic Level online self-study course that was developed for professionals with 0-3 years of experience in construction finance. No prerequisites or advanced preparation is required.

The estimated time to complete the course is approximately 90 minutes, depending on the pace of the learner.
