Fortis Construction

Kimberly has over 20 years’ experience developing and leading DEI, Social Equity, and small business inclusion programs at both the state and local level.  She has extensive experience developing policies and initiatives to create equity in contracting, developing, and leading compliance programs, and working with community stakeholders, political advocacy organizations, and community chambers/coalitions to ensure small businesses and low income and communities of color have access to opportunities. Kimberly is a nationally recognized leader in developing and implementing diversity and inclusion programs and is a regular instructor at the American Contract Compliance Association and the Business Diversity Institute. She studied Business Administration and Communications at the University of Phoenix and has earned her MCA from Morgan State University. Prior to joining the Fortis team, Kimberly was the Equity in Contracting Manager for the Port of Portland, and prior to that, she was the Deputy Director of Economic and Business Equity for the Oregon Governor’s Office. She is from Portland, Oregon and has 3 sons, and is a grandmother of 4 amazing kids.
